2017 Robbie Armstrong Longest Redfish Tournament

The biggest winner of this year’s redfish tournament was The Impact Academy. The iPads for the South Tampa campus are much needed tools to further the education of those young students. Thanks, to the anglers and all the sponsors for their support toward this cause.

Tournament Winners:

Representing Team T. A. Mahoney, Dylan Cross caught a 14 1/2″ red. He won a $75 gift card from T. A. Mahoney. Dylan was the only kid to post a redfish for the event.

1st Place: Geoff Szymanski fished with Corey Maysles from INDIVO and caught a 31″ redfish. An impressive catch considering the conditions. For his efforts Geoff will receive a fully loaded Roundabout Watercraft. Owner Todd Foucher has donated a boat complete with a trolling motor and 2 seats. LoadMaster Trailer’s Pam Paulsen has donated a custom trailer to make Geoff’s new Roundabout Watercraft the envy of his neighborhood.

2nd Place: Chuck Statham fishing from his kayak landed the first fish of the day. A 24″ red that wins him a $1000 Gift Certificate from T. A. Mahoney. Chuck has fished many SSA events and always seems to take home a prize for his efforts.

3rd Place: Cody Lamberton caught a 24″ red a bit later in the day to take a $400 Gift Certificate from Sanchez Brothers Custom Fabrication. This is only the 2nd time in 10 years of tournaments that there has been a tie. When that happens the first fish posted wins.

Raffle Winners:

The Barracuda Cast Net: Donald Waiberman He says he can throw it from his kayak. The Anna Maria Dream Inn Weekend Gift Certificate: Henry Hartzner from Pig-Silly-BBQ
